The Bugle Call: Song of War, a fantasy manga by Mozuku Sora and Higoro Tōmori, is set to receive a television anime adaptation in 2027. The announcement was made by CyberAgent's CA Soa studio, with Shinya Watada directing and Michiro Tsuchiya scripting. Michinori Chiba designs the characters, and Hitomi Kotō composes the music. Hiroshi Arisawa is the action animator, Kanetake Ebikawa handles concept design, Takayuki Yanase designs props, and Shirogumi manages the CG animation. Viz Media publishes the series in English, describing the story as a tale of Luca, a bugler in a mercenary company who becomes a muse of massacre after being marked as one of the enigmatic Branch-hexed and gifted with the ability to see the sound of his instrument. The manga, launched in Shueisha's Jump SQ. magazine in June 2022, moved to the seasonal Jump SQ. RISE magazine in April 2026. Shueisha shipped the 13th compiled book volume on February 4, with the manga heading toward its final battle. Viz Media released the sixth volume in English on April 7.
