The discovery of a new species of bumblebee goby, Brachygobius jennie, on Hengqin Island in Guangdong Province is a fascinating development in ichthyology. The species was discovered by Jiangyan Tian, a postgraduate student at Sun Yat-sen University, who was inspired by the music of Jennie Ruby Jane during her studies. This naming choice symbolizes her appreciation for the singer's influence on her work.
